FABIANO, GILMORE, SIEFKES & DEVINE, LLP
The origins of our firm began in May 1993 and our present form was established in September of 2003. We are a fifty per cent minority owned law firm and dedicated to equal opportunity in our profession.
Our practice is devoted to representation of insurers, re-insurers, self-insurers, employers, as well as general business clients in Workers' Compensation litigation.
The partners are distinguished for their litigation experience in trials, appeals, arbitrations and mediations before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board and Courts of Appeal. Two of our partners have taken cases to the Supreme Court of California.
Members of the Firm have successfully represented clients in thousands of workers’ compensation claims, complex medical consolidations, complex civil litigation as well as class action litigation within workers compensation.
With regard to general liability claims we are experienced in:
- Workers Compensation Defense
- Personal Injury
- Premises Liability
- Property Losses (real & personal)
- Subrogation
In the field of Workers’ Compensation we not only defend against applicant claims, but also questionable lien claims for medical services. Additionally, the firm defends against claims of Serious and Willful misconduct violations directed against employers, as well as Labor Code § 132a claims. Subrogation claims are handled for both civil and workers’ compensation matters. We also represent the uninsured employer in meeting their obligations to injured workers and negotiating the complex laws that pertain solely to the uninsured.
In both civil litigation and workers’ compensation defense we appear in all Courts of record, at binding arbitrations, mediations and Workers' Compensation Appeals Boards. The Agoura Hills office appears in Los Angeles, Ventura, Kern, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties. The Orange County office appears in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties. The Bay area office handles litigated matters in all Central and Northern California Counties.
Our firm maintains a unique computer data base for the benefit of its clients to assist in the identification of those individuals and organizations involved in controversial claims activities.
We conduct seminars and informational updates to keep our clients informed of current case law holdings and procedural applications of the law.
Our firm utilizes a paperless environment in recognition of the Appeals Board's transition to EAMS and can accommodate individual requests for clients who have not yet completed their transition to a paperless system.
